COMMITTED TO EACH CLIENT’S LONG TERM SUCCESS, Nancy Stone helps organizations define critical issues, identify and develop best strategies, and effectively execute their plans.
For more than 20 years, Ms. Stone has navigated companies from concept, through growth, repositioning and disposition. She implements change and accelerates positive results through her ability to see clearly to the root issue and by bringing out the best performance in others. Ms. Stone was the President and Vice Chairman of publicly held ILX Resorts Incorporated, a premier provider of vacation ownership in the western United States. ILX acquired and developed resort properties, marketed vacation ownership interests, provided consumer financing and operated resort hotels.
In her role as President of ILX, she led the company’s growth and more than a decade of consecutive years of profitability. She originally joined ILX in its start-up phase as its Chief Financial Officer and presided over its initial public offering and transition to an operating business. As President, she guided the company’s growth to $65 million in annual sales, 35,000 active customers and 1,000 employees.
Ms. Stone has held executive positions in entrepreneurially driven companies, private and public, in various industries. As Treasurer of a private holding company which acquired, added value, and remarketed operating businesses, she analyzed the potential of target opportunities, reduced costs and improved operating performance of acquired companies.
She has worked with one of the foremost real estate developers in the Southwest in repositioning the business to capitalize on new market opportunities; headed the business and financial affairs for a top performing region of a national for-profit college; and worked for a professional services and consulting firm to develop a practice in a specialized new niche. She built a solid foundation for her career with the international firm of Arthur Andersen & Co., where she analyzed internal control systems, audited financial statements, and performed operational evaluations.
Ms. Stone serves in a leadership capacity for civic, business and charitable organizations both locally and nationally.
